Inspires and Delights Babies Through Musical Discovery
The Little Superstar Jammin' Band Musical Microphone features a real working microphone that gently amplifies your baby's voice, lights up, and talks. The microphone plays six sing-along songs and four karaoke tunes -- it even has a build-a-song option. The musical activity center comes with a separate tambourine and maraca that hang from the sides and can be removed for playtime.

Two Modes of Interaction
Offering two modes of interaction, the Jammin' Band Musical Microphone lets you choose between sing-along fun and musical discovery. In sing-along mode, babies can press the song-select button to hear a song, or they can sing into the microphone to hear their voice. Your little one can also press the piano keys, tap the drum, or spin the roller on the guitar to hear the sound each instrument plays.

The musical discovery mode is nearly identical to the sing-along mode -- in fact, our reviewers had difficulty telling the two modes apart. However, your baby should enjoy the musical discovery mode just as much. Children can activate the instruments to play a little ditty, press the song-select button to hear musical phrases, or choose an instrument to build their own song. Also, children can sing into the microphone to hear their voice and a fun response.

Designed to Grow with Your Baby
While entertaining for babies, this toy will grow right along with your child. Little ones can sit and enjoy the busy activities and sounds, and as they get bigger, they can stand and sing with music, sounds, and phrases playing from the interactive microphone. An easy height adjustment lets you switch the toy from sitting to standing position as your child grows -- the microphone angle also adjusts for your child's height.

Loved by Babies and Parents Alike
With no small parts or sharp corners, the Jammin' Band Musical Microphone is a safe durable toy parents can give their child. A sturdy footed base steadies the activity center, and a handle on the front supports any child pulling him- or herself up to stand and play.

And, because this unit is self-contained, you won't have to worry about lots of stray pieces cluttering up your home. For further convenience, this toy is incredibly easy to assemble and maintain -- just wipe with a clean cloth that's been dampened with a mild soap and water solution.

But the best feature parents and adults will appreciate is the volume switch that lets them choose between low and high volume. There's also a power switch to completely turn off the activity center as a battery-saving option.

Encourages Developing Skills
The Jammin' Band Musical Microphone encourages your baby's developing skills through interactive play. The activity center enhances fine motor skills with hands-on activities, and it fosters coordination and gross motor skills as your baby learns to stand and balance. Additionally, this toy inspires the senses with flashing lights and bright colors that offer visual stimulation, as well as lively music, songs, sounds, and speech that help enhance your baby's auditory and language skills.

What's in the Box
Little Superstar Jammin' Band Musical Microphone, four "AA" batteries, and screws.

5 out of 5 stars My one year old loves it   March 6, 2010
Mom of 6 (Spring, TX USA)
We bought this item for our daughter's first Christmas. She turned one two days later. I chose it because she loves anything musical. She is now 14 months and this continues to be a toy that she'll play with anytime I put her in front of it. It's definitely a favorite.

Some people have complained about the low volume. If you are sitting on the floor right next to it, as a child would be, it is loud enough. I do have it set for the louder of the two settings. I appreciate that it's not blasting my daughter's ears. I also like that it has a selection of music, not just one that is played over and over again. Of course, by now I'm very familiar with all the songs but I don't find them annoying at all. I'm glad I came back to review this item because my one complaint was that it was too low now that our daughter is walking. Somehow I had missed that it was adjustable. It is now at the taller height and she is delighted.

One warning: do not buy it for the "microphone". It's really just a simple sound amplifier and you have to be really close for it to pick up. She just puts her mouth on it and makes one long noise and it can pick that up and amplify it. Don't expect it to pick up singing.

Finally, the frustration free packaging is terrific. I highly recommend it.

4 out of 5 stars Good toy!   February 25, 2010

I got this for my son who is 1. He loves music and loves to dance so this was a great pick for him. He can play with this on his own which is good for me and the toys attached are big enough to where they don't get lost easily.

4 out of 5 stars Good for younger ones   February 11, 2010
Samantha (Iowa)
My girls, 4 and 2, got this for Christmas this year and they played with it a lot at first, but now really don't use it much. It's certainly too short for the 4 year old but she doesn't seem to mind getting on her knees. I think she would like it better if it went taller. It's even too short for my 2 year old as she has to crouch down. I'm hoping my next baby will love it at the lowest setting when she learns to sit up.

3 out of 5 stars Doesn't keep her attention very long   February 10, 2010
*VaL* (West Virginia)
I thought this would be a great Christmas present for our 7 month old baby - she loves music, however, this hasn't yet kept her attention for more than 1 minute and she's 9 months now. I think the overall problem that I face with this product is that the music that plays when a button is pressed starts to fade out within seconds if another button is not pushed again. I think it's for the sake of saving batteries and encouraging the child to make more music to keep the music going but it doesn't last long and my child likes to clap to the music but then it shuts off for her and she moves on to another toy. I'm keep an average rating on this because it does entertain her for a bit and I am hoping that in the future it will keep her attention longer.

5 out of 5 stars My daughter LOVES this!   February 8, 2010
sweetnic1977 (Florida)
I bought this for Christmas for my then 7 month old daughter. She loved it right away. It is now almost 2 months later and she still plays with it everyday! She was not crawling or standing yet so we have it on the low setting. She now stands and uses the front handle to stand up with. It is very durable. It has a lot of songs and sounds and I am now looking to buy the other instruments that go with it.
